Public Health Permits

The Department of Health and Environmental Control issues a consolidated fiscal year permit that includes all program elements. Businesses holding multiple permits will receive a single consolidated permit. The fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

 All Public Health Permits:

  • Are valid only for the current fiscal year
  • Expire on June 30, regardless of the date of issuance
  • Must be renewed annually to remain in compliance
  • Are non-transferable

Permit Fees & Billing
  • Permit fees are established on a fiscal year basis
  • Permit fees are not prorated
  • The full annual fee applies regardless of when the permit is issued

 Renewal Process
  • Renewal invoices are sent in May
  • The renewal due date is June 30
  • Payment must be received by June 30 to prevent permit expiration

Permits not renewed by the due date are considered expired.
