Data Center Capacity & Connection Requests

Thank you for your interest in building a new Data Center, or expanding an Data Center within the City of Vernon.

At this time, the City of Vernon and Vernon Public Utilities (VPU) will not be processing new data center project capacity or existing data center expansion requests until further notice.

VPU will continue to serve other land use proposals, which should follow the city and utility's standard electric service connection process. The City does not have a timeline on when it will begin to review new and existing Data Center capacity and connection requests.

If you would like to be placed in VPU's queue to be contacted when the utility resumes its Data Center project capacity requests, please submit an Application to Enter VPU's Data Center Capacity & Connection Queue, and be prepared to provide the following information when contacted by the utility regarding your application.
