On April 20, the City issued a Notice of Preparation Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The public may attend via Zoom an upcoming scoping meeting to provide input to City staff and assist in identify issues to be addressed in the EIR. An EIR scoping meeting is a forum designed to receive public comment on the items that should be analyzed within a forthcoming EIR. The Notice is available on the www.ReimagineVernon.com website dedicated to disseminating information on Project West Side, or you may view it by clicking the following link: NOP EIR. On May 4, a virtual scoping meeting for the Westside Specific Plan EIR was held. A recording of that meeting is available here.
Written comments regarding the scope, content, and specificity of the EIR from all interested parties should be submitted no later than Friday, May 20, 2022. Comments may be submitted electronically through the project website (www.ReimagineVernon.com/contact-us) or a hard copy (including name and contact information) may be sent via mail to the following address:
