The Vernon Police Department operates a Temporary Holding Facility (THF). This allows police officers to process and temporary house arrested individuals at the police department for a period less than 12-hours. Individuals who have been arrested on felony charges or have been ordered to remain in-custody by a judge are transported to the Huntington Park Police Department for housing. The Vernon Police Jail Facility is regularly inspected by a number of controlling agencies and meets and/or exceeds all applicable standards.
